p>There has never been so many people taking the plunge and setting up home-based businesses than there are right now. A large number of the people who work from home choose to go it alone and set up their own enterprise, often making their money via the internet. It is not an easy path however, and people who choose to work from home thinking they will get to relax a bit often run into some key problems very quickly. Lets take a look a three common issues.

Not Being Taken Seriously. Unfortunately, some of the more traditional companies and managers out there dont appreciate that people can run a perfectly viable business from home, and not everyone needs an office as a base. Business owners have sometimes found that people have not returned their calls or refused to send out documentation when they have learnt the business is based at home. This is something that is slowly changing, but there is still stigma attached to such operations.

Meeting Clients/Customers. For a great many B2B companies, meeting clients face to face is very important part of what they do. This is obviously not always easy if your office is your living room for example as conducting meetings at home does not always give the best first impression. To avoid this, more home based businesses are conducting their meetings and corporate hospitality at external locations. For example, they might arrange a Henley Regatta hospitality day to pitch to a client on neutral territory.

Mixing Work and Leisure. Trying to juggle work time and free time is one of the most common complaints from home-based business owners. It does take time to find the right balance and put into place some strict rules and boundaries regarding work and pleasure, but there is likely to always be problems that crop up from time to time and that need to be addressed.

For Cheltenham hospitality days, visit TT

There is a lot of corporate hospitality business around currently. Keeping clients and employees happy is something that modern businesses are realising is very important, and entertaining days out are a great way to do this. There have been many occasions that big deals have been finalised on corporate hospitality days and many enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as opposed to the claustrophobic boardrooms. So what are the best places around to experience a top corporate hospitality day?

Henley Regatta. Henley Royal Regatta is a rowing event held in Oxfordshire. There are many variations on boat type and number of rowers, each competing over the 5 days that the event runs. There is always a great atmosphere here as rowing teams arrive from all over the world and there is often a lot of adrenaline in the air. Add to this the fact that there is some of the most beautiful scenery around, and youve got the setting for a fun and enjoyable Henley Regatta hospitality day out.

Glorious Goodwood. This horse racing extravaganser is as chilled out as it is entertaining. King Edward VII once called it a garden party with racing tacked on, and he was right. Formal attire was actually dumped by the King who preferred attending in something a little bit more comfortable and people still continue to do the same. Linen suits and summer dresses are the most common attire and a glass of Pims goes down well also during a Glorious Goodwood festival.

Royal Ascot. The royal family rarely miss a trip to Ascot, making it one of the more formal events. There is a lot of betting that goes on here so its the ideal place to try your hand if your a newbie or place some higher stakes bets if you’ve got guts. Being another summer event means that the weather should be mild at worst and you should be able get some outdoor time. Horse racing events can sometimes feel a little rushed, but it is impossible to feel that here. With 4 days to explore the venue and try out all of the other activities they have to offer, you really wont want to leave.

if you know you are a small company and you are doing pretty poorly in the search engines why not actually consider an SEO company.

Many people will tell you that only the bigger companies can get somewhere by using a specialist SEO Engineer but this is certainly not the case as there are actually a lot of smaller companies that are outdoing the bigger companies on certain search terms. How on earth are some of these smaller companies able to do this, they have small budgets, and their sites may not be as good as others but they are still able to achieve rankings.

The truth is that it is because these smaller companies are investing in a fairly decent SEO company that know exactly what they are doing. They will wotk together with your company to try and boost the rankings for you.

Once you have eventually been boosted up on important key terms that are relative to your site you will start to see major traffic increases. This then causes a chain reaction on the site and you will start to see the cash pouring into your back pocket which will then give you more money to start spending on things like web design and more SEO!

One of the great thigns about SEO is that once you have the ball rolling it can be hard to make it stop which of course is a good thing so take this into your mind when thinking about SEO.

Things To Take Into Consideration

A skilled SEO will always look into the site as well as what needs to be done off site and if they say that these on site changes need to be made I would strongly recommend doing it as they know what they are talking about.

So are there really any reasons out there that you should take into consideration when thinking about having a New Years bash in the office, well it would seem that there are.

Reasons why you should rethink where you have the party?

Drink

Something that never seems to mix in the office is booze. Having a couple of drinks is fine but the thing to remember about all of this is just do not go too far. In fact I would actually say that it is a brilliant idea to have a couple of drinks with the colleagues because it will just lighten the mood in the office for the holidays.

Insurance

It had to be mentioned I’m afraid and although the insurance will cover many things that may be damaged from drink, fights and other things I am sure that not all office insurance policies will be happy to fork out hundreds and possibly thousands of pounds because the employees have been careless.

On top of this I will also say that a lot of small business insurance will not even cover you if you spill certain drinks like beer and wine over computers because those types of drinks are not generally acceptable in the work environment.

Personal Experience

This year’s Christmas office party was partly held here and although nothing got broken I certainly feel that if we didn’t move on to the pub when we did there would have been a fair few broken computers. There were drinks coming around from all over the place and I do not think that the bowling alley beers we had previously helped us at all.

I will say again that if you are having a game of pool or playing poker there is no reason why you cannot have a few drinks along with it as long as you do not go too far. The thing is, the only time in which these problems seem to happen is when people just take things a bit.

Other Options?

Other than staying in the office there are actually many options out there to choose from. You could offer to pay for a nice meal as I am sure that no-one would refuse free food, then perhaps go out fora bit of a dance afterwards. It is only at venues like this where you get to see the people for who they are, the boss could turn out to be a really laid back person. They certainly shouldn’t use any information they gain from the drinking session against you so make sure this doesn’t happen.

If you are one of the many people that uses heating oil to heat your home you will more than likely have noticed that the prices never seem to stay steady. Even though oil prices across the globe tend to be unsteady, you will still find that UK prices do not reflect the same changes. It is often the case that even when prices internationally are low, they are still quite high in the UK. This is the reason that many cannot work out why the prices are continually changing in the UK.

One of the main factors for the changing prices here is supply and demand. When the weather is warmer there is a relatively low demand for oil which leads to drops in prices and once demand increases in the cold winter months, so too do the prices. Those responsible for the price rises claim that this is due to increased demand leading to scarcity. However many cynics claim that those within the oil industry often fabricate the claim of supplies dwindling. Plus many have concerns about the fact that when the oil prices rise globally they also do here but this trend does not follow suit when the prices drop globally.

Keeping an eye on the oil markets and the seasons can help you to get the best prices when it comes to oil. If you remember then you should try to fill up your oil tank during the summer months when the prices are generally lower. And when your oil supplies are beginning to run out again then you can keep an eye on the prices of oil and fill up when they are low. There seems to be little chance of the price of oil stabilising any time soon so customers are going to need to do all they can to get the best deals.

Heating ones home in the cold months of winter can cost a fair packet. Fuel such as electricity and gas show no signs of coming down in price. Clever people are switching to heating oil as a fuel though. When they do they always need their tanks filled with cheapest heating oil to make sure they don’t run dry in the cold weather.

Flash is a great little thing that you can have on your site that will in fact make users go “wow that’s pretty cool” perhaps if your lucky, and this will be for the first time users only. Once the first look it will start to get very old very quickly to people and they will start to get a bit annoyed by how long the site is taking to load.

99.9% of the time flash will give you very poor usability disease. I will say that when a site actually gets it right it is very good indeed but the majority of the time people cannot get it right which is how the problem comes to be.

So why does flash degrade websites?

Encourages Design Abuse

Breaks Fundamental Interaction Principles

Directs Attention For The Site’s Value

A huge mistske that people tend to make when they are thinking of having their site designed is that they seem to think flash is going to do their site some huge favours. And yes it will if it is a great looking piece of flash but the chances are you will not have the budget to get a fantastic looking site based around flash.

Another problem is the time it takes to design a great looking flash site. The thing is, it can tajke a very long time indeed to get the animation together and this could just be for one page alone?

There is nothing wrong with having a small bit of flash on your site; in fact I would really recommend having a small amount on the site because it does look pretty cool.

If you are struggling to realise just how you want your site designed then I suggest getting a decent web design team involved.

Of course if you have a site and it isn’t doing well you could bring in the SEO team.

Have you ever dreamed to have your own business that you can manage right from your home. Yes, no more you would have to be a slave of your chief. It provides you freedom to work whenever you choose. And even if you have to work much harder, you will still feel better about yourself. Why? Because you would work for your own enjoyment and not for just a necessity.

There are several business types that you can establish. You can establish your own online store where you can sell goods and compete with giants like Amazon. This is the business, which is the most alike to offline business. You would have to a call to dropshippers and make agreement with them. Then, when your customer buys goods from your site, droppshippers will transmit goods to them. If it looks too much complex, you can take the courses want Niche Blueprint 2.0. That’s right, you don’t have to reinvent the bicycle here. Just observe what is recognized already that works and begin your own business with improved chances of success. Obviously, you can learn the whole thing by yourself, but why bother?

There is an easier technique, than having your own online mall, to earn online. It’s called affiliate marketing. In essence it is selling other people products online using internet marketing techniques. You just need to sign up one time with an affiliate network and you will be able market any product you desire. When you just starting out, market only the popular products – ones that is already selling. You truly do not want to risk your money and time by marketing the product that no one needs.

Also, you can create your own product. The top product for the start is e-book, for the reason that you only have to write a book one time and there is no customer support like there would be by selling software. Of course, marketing software would be more profitable, but you would need to waste a lot of time on support and bug fixing. Or you can hire your own staff or outsource these tasks.

The most powerful business of all three is e-commerce. There is more effort involved, but the end results can be far better than from selling your own product or affiliate marketing. To evade mistakes, it would be better to have a mentor. Getting information from courses like Niche Blueprint 2.0 would benefit you a lot.

Businesses these days are constantly looking to market their business in several methods to get to their target audiences. There are numerous ways to promote your business through online or offline marketing. If you are lookng for online marketing then finding your local SEO Birmingham for a little help would be a good idea, as they will be able to tell you what steps to take and why take them, the whole point to achieve high rankings on Search Engines.

Here are few examples of marketing your business through online and offline activity.

Email marketing helps you to market it through emails but these days it is not as effective as it used to be about few years ago, mostly emails from unknown source goes to junk email. Send them emails regarding your latest offers. You can reach people more quickly than Internet Marketing.

Another is Internet Marketing which has two ways to promote the business online. One is Pay per click campaign and another is through Search Engine Optimisation. SEO is what Google calls an organic listing and PPC is sponsored listings also known as Adwords. PPC might be the fastest way to reach your customers but in long term process SEO will surpass PPC by a mile.

Leaflets if you have a restaurant or takeaway then leaflets are the best way to approach your next customer. Leaflests are mostly used for customers who are located within your area. For example if you are based in Birmingham and want to order some food then you won’t order food online from a takeaway based in Manchester.

Promotional items are also another way to find your next customer. This method is useful to target both your current and new customers. One example of using promotional item to get customers are making promotional t-shirts for clubs. Most clubs have events going on every weekend so you can create t-shirts for that events for the night club and then put your logo at the bottom somewhere saying designed by promotional company. This way when the clubs give away these t-shirts your business will be promoted too.

But to be honest as more and more people are using the Internet these days it might just be better to build a Website and then promote it through SEO. Find for your local SEO consultant, for example if you are based in Birmingham just search for SEO Advice in Google, Yahoo or Bing and it will provide you with the list of SEO companies and experts in Birmingham or search for Pay per click consultant for PPC Adwords management advice.

If you like to travel, live near a busy airport and you’d be willing to travel at a moments notice then working as a freelance air courier could be for you.

The role of an air courier is much like that of a motorcycle courier except you are travelling internationally. You are hired to carry an item to a specified destination, usually within a specific time period.

The items that you are asked to carry can vary enormously but generally they are items that can’t be trusted to the postal system or normal cargo courier services. These may be legal, signed documents, business contracts, letters and the like. The sender needs to be certain they are handed to a specific person or business and they are happy to hire your services to get the documents to where they need to be. I’ve also carried car parts, computer software disks and special medication that had been left at home.

Over the past six months I’ve flown to various European destinations including Paris, Frankfurt and Barcelona along with destinations in the middle east and North America. Living right next to Heathrow airport means I’m very conveniently situated for short notice trips.

Most of the big courier companies don’t employ full time air couriers. This brings opportunities for freelance couriers like myself.

I am generally contacted by one of the courier companies who I freelance for. When I’ve confirmed my availability they book the flight and let me know when I need to be at the airport.

In general a representative from the courier company will meet me at the airport, give me my ticket and travel details along with the item or items that I’ll be transporting. They will generally have already checked me in which saves a lot of time. An added bonus is that I often get to fly first class, which is great for me as I’m over six feet tall.

Normally I don’t need to contact the recipient at the destination. The courier company will normally have arranged this so that I will be met at the destination airport by the recipient who will sign for the item.

Sometimes I’ve had to stay overnight before taking my return flight, but generally I’ve been on a plane headed home within hours of handing over the package.

Working as a freelance air courier is a great job if you are over eighteen, have a valid passport with no travel restrictions and you can be ready to go at a moments notice.

For great savings on Heathrow parking or Gatwick parking always book in advance. Don’t forget to make certain you have the right travel insurance before you go.
